Hi there! So I am jumping on the blogger-bandwagon, not because I live the most glamorous or interesting lifestyle, or feel overly impelled to share it with the world, but really because I stumbled upon this article by Joshua Becker on 15 Reasons I Think You Should Blog.
One of my “New Years Resolutions” (yes, I am one of those people) was to become more mindful and live a more intentional life. Becker’s article spoke to me because it was more about how the nature of blogging (if done for the right reasons) positively changes YOU, the writer. As pointed out in his article, blogging helps you become a better writer and a deeper thinker, further developing a more creative and meaningful eye in your own day-to-day life. You end up living a more intentional and disciplined life. You develop self-confidence and a deeper understanding of yourself as your blog doubles as your life journal. Thanks Joshua for the confidence to take the plunge!
For a brief intro into J.Schulman&Co. I am Jessen, the J.Schulman part of of the name!
I am a twenty-something year old new mommy, navigating motherhood, marriage, and working from home. Being a SAHWM requires an IMMENSE amount of dedication, discipline, and organization! Finding that balance between being a good wife, mom, and making money is quite the challenge! Although my life is far from glamorous and isn’t anything overly interesting, we do live a unique lifestyle. My husband is a LEO and works a LOT of extremely weird hours. Because of his odd working hours, it was important to us that I stay at home with our daughter, as his “Saturday” might actually be a “Tuesday” and being home/flexible is how we can see each other and how he can spend time with our daughter. Our first baby Gianna, arrived last summer. I take entirely too many pictures of her. My Instagram is basically a shrine to my kid and animal babies. Speaking of whom, Xander, Lucca & Lekso make up the rest of my gang. As you will find out, I am an avid lover of all things furry, especially my fur babes. I am looking forward to the personal adventure of joining the blogging world. I am excited to share my interests and passions and give you a glimpse of the day-to-day life of J.Schulman&Co. plus it will be nice to “meet” new friends!
