We’ve been lucky enough to go to Disney twice so far this year. The first time was completely on a whim, so absolutely no preplanning, crazy I know. The second time I had a bit more time to plan ahead and bring everything I wish I had the first go round. We are an active family and I travel with the kids pretty frequently, but I have to say a trip to Disney is a great gauge for the durability and versatility of any kid product!
One of the things I wish I had was a bag that was large enough (but not too large) to hold two kids (and two adults) worth of stuff. And stuff meaning, drinks, snacks, diapers, wipes, extra clothes, ibuprofen, bandaids, extra bows (hello, girl mom), ponchos, toys, sunscreen, makeup, money, an umbrella, and anything else we would need for a sun-up to sun-down day at the parks. Basically, it needed to be large enough to fit everything in my magic mom bag, but not too big. It needed to be comfortable to wear and versatile enough to bring with us on rides, in restaurants, hook onto the stroller, etc. And of course it needed to look good!
The JJ Cole Diaper Bag is everything I needed and more!
I have the JJ Cole Papago Pack Diaper Bag in Camel Herringbone and was so pleased with the it on our trip. The bag extremely well-made, looks sharp, the straps are super comfortable, it holds everything I needed it to, yet was still able to be perfectly organized! I even was able to carry my big camera in there as well! The bag has two insulated cup pockets on either side, which ended up being a great thing for the girls sippy cups – kept them nice and cool when the sun got hot at Disney!
The inside is well organized with large pockets and loops. There is a small, hidden zipper pocket on the backside of the backpack (right where it would be against your lower back) that is perfect for money and small valuables. Speaking of the backside, it has a generous amount of cushion, so even though we packed the bag to the brim and at times it was really heavy, it was still comfortable to wear due to the padding on the back and shoulder straps.
I liked that it came with stroller clips, just an easy way to attach it to your stroller, but more secure than just using stroller hooks.
Quite honestly, I only have good things to say. It literally is the perfect day trip bag.
You can find a great selection of JJ Cole Diaper Bags including the one I have at Buy Buy Baby.
They also have great picnic blankets to complete your daytrip! Perfect for the beach, park, or in our case, if it’s been raining for a week straight, an indoor movie and a snack 🙂 We have the All-Purpose Outdoor Blanket in Stone Arbor.
Happy day tripping! I’d love to hear where your summer adventures take you and your kids!
