5 Things I Love About My Air Purifier

This post is sponsored by GUARDIAN TECHNOLOGIES but the opinions and thoughts expressed here are my own. Did you know that the air INSIDE of your home is dirtier than the air OUTSIDE of your home? I found this hard to believe at first, since my home is my safe haven – the place where I raise my children. It never dawned on me that these walls would also naturally trap unwanted, “dirty” elements in our air. But it’s true! The EPA estimates that indoor air is two to five times dirtier than outdoor air — and even up to 100 times dirtier in some cases.

    Words of the New Year

I’m a total sucker for New Years Resolutions. I’m a natural-born list maker so this makes total sense. But really, I love the excuse for a fresh start, even if it’s just another day or another page on a calendar. As I get older, and busier, I have adopted a different “resolution” method. Instead of specifics like traveling more, working out every day of the week or promising myself I am not going to eat so much chocolate and wine (who am I kidding) – I have started to pick words or phrases at the recommendation of several smart people 😉

DIY: Wood Panel Bathroom Accent Wall

We discovered a tiny leak a couple of months ago in our master shower. It was leaking into the basement! (water = horror!!) Fortunately for us, it was a new leak and hadn’t done any damage. However, we did need to rip out the whole shower and replace it. I can’t wait to share with you the final product! I have just a couple more design details I want to finish before I call it a day. UNTIL then, I will show you the accent wall we just finished in the toilet room.

    DIY: EASY Pallet Wood Sign

I have been on a crafting hiatus due to working in the corporate world, traveling, moving, having a baby, etc. Now that we are settled into our new house and I’ve got a better grasp of my new SAHWM role, I wanted an easy project that wasn’t a huge time commitment. BEHOLD my friends… pallet wood. This stuff is just a wonderful gift to us creative folk (or those of us who aspire to be crafty). We have an adorable front porch and I wanted to add a personal touch – I found something like this online and just took that as inspiration for my own project.
